Update on the Early Bird Tour we have planned for Friday March 26.  We will leave the west parking lot of the Stagecoach Inn at 9 AM for a 120 mile drive through the beautiful countryside.  We will go west then north around the western boundary of Ft. Hood to Gatesville, then back roads to Crawford.  Although I did my best and thought we had a shot at it, we were not able to get access to President Bush's ranch....but we will drive by it!  (Wave to the Secret Service agent in the guardhouse!)  We will then have lunch at the Coffee Shop Cafe in McGregor, one of the First Family's favorites and a Texas Monthly pick in its "Top 20 Diners of Texas" listing.  There is a Western White House Gift Shop in the cafe, and lots of pictures of the First Family and their friends....this restaurant does a lot of catering at the ranch.  We should arrive back in Salado around 2PM.
